Like thousands of Indian students dreaming to become a medical practitioner, Anuska Rathore from Madhya Pradesh nurtured a similar childhood dream. Life, although had other plans in store. Despite her mother’s early demise, Anuska discovered solace in her father’s unwavering love and support. Yet her father’s sudden accident left the family-helpless and in a state of shock. Seeing her paralyzed father bed-ridden, Anushka felt her dreams crumble before her eyes.
Overcoming numerous obstacles, she successfully earned a spot at Maa Pitambara Nursing and Paramedical College following her 12th Board exams—a significant stride towards her cherished aspirations. However, fate’s capricious nature intervened, and in 2022, the college had to shut down due to government-related problems, putting Anuska’s resilience to the ultimate test. “Once more, my dreams were shattered,” she expressed with a heavy heart.
Undaunted by the challenges, Anuska’s grit remained steadfast while she took admission to a local college. Despite receiving well-meaning suggestions to prioritize marriage over education, she stood her ground. With resolute courage, she secured admission to Vidyasagar College, Khategaon. Nevertheless, a new obstacle emerged—her limited confidence and communication skills posed hindrances during interviews.
Next, she got introduced to Anudip’s Employability Skills program at Khategaon. Regaining her lost confidence through rigorous training in communication, interview techniques, as well as honing her IT Skills, she recalled, “Unlearning and learning is the new mantra.”
