Jyoti Dey, a West Bengal graduate, defied expectations and pursued her dreams despite being the daughter of a humble tea seller. Reflecting on her journey, she shares, “Many questioned how I, as a tea seller’s daughter, dared to dream of a better life. But having realized my dream, I believe there’s hope for those who persevere.”

Jyoti’s father ran a small tea shop, the sole income source for the family. Witnessing his relentless dedication to providing for them, she recalls, “He worked tirelessly day and night, sacrificing time with me. I felt compelled to support him, ensuring my family didn’t linger in poverty.”

Raised in a financially strained family, Jyoti never imagined receiving a proper education. She faced the daunting prospect of competing with peers from affluent backgrounds. Expressing her challenges, she says, “Being unable to afford grooming like others stripped me of an equal footing.” Undeterred by multiple rejections, she sought help from the Anudip, enrolling in their English Communication and IT course.

“Anudip and its supporting mentors lifted my spirits and revealed my true potential. Their guidance prepared me for interviews and refined my professional demeanor. Overcoming financial constraints and language barriers, they equipped me with the skills needed to succeed,” exclaims Jyoti. Now earning a handsome package monthly as an ITES executive at iMerit Technology Services Pvt. Ltd., she proudly supports her family and ensures her brother receives a quality education.
