  • CAPGEMINI, AIF AND ANUDIP TO PARTNER FOR DIGITAL TRAINING OPERATIONS

Inauguration of LEAP MAST training centres at Baruipur, West Bengal

On 29th January 2016, Anudip Foundation in association with Capgemini and American India Foundation (AIF) launched an innovative digital learning initiative that brings IT skilling centres to Baruipur in West Bengal.

The mission of Capgemini, a leading global consulting firm, is to transform organizations and improve performance. Capgemini empowers its clients to respond more quickly and intuitively to changing market dynamics. By bolstering their clients’ ability to harness the right technology, Capgemini helps them to become more agile and competitive.

LEAP MAST is packaged as a market-aligned skill development curriculum whereby candidates aged between 18 to 30 will be honed and upskilled in the IT domain coupled with communication skills and workplace decorum. The three month capstone course is targeted at undergraduates/graduates in any streams from the underserved areas who are aiming to enrich their skills and scope of employability in the IT & allied services. For this venture, Capgemini and AIF will work closely with Anudip to implement the LEAP MAST Initiative. On successful completion of their course, students would be savvy in MS Office, Internet tools, HTML, financial literacy, tally accounting, desktop publishing, entrepreneurship, communication and job readiness skills and will be eligible to apply for corporate employment.

Expanding on the course curricula, Somnath Chatterjee, Centre-Head and CSR Core Committee member, Capgemini India, notes, “Soon Anudip will help us foster a digital platform in every nook and corner of the country which a large number of youth will use as a springboard to sustainable and respectful living.”

Hanumant Rawat, Senior Advisor, Livelihoods, AIF said: “At the American India Foundation, skilling of youth is a significant area of focus. We are excited that Capgemini, Anudip, and AIF have forged a partnership to equip 900 youth in Baruipur over a period of three years with skills that will enhance their technical knowledge and abilities.”

On the same thread, Radha Basu, Co-founder of Anudip Foundation and CEO of iMerit Technologies said, “By the increasing demand for skilled workers in the technology services industry, Anudip is now well poised to be a key provider of a talented workforce from the socially excluded and marginalized youth and women of the country.”
