Citi Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Citi group who works to promote economic progress and improve the lives of people in low-income communities around the world announced its strategic collaboration with Anudip to empower marginalized youth from the urban and peri-urban communities in Indian states of Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Maharashtra with impactful digital employment skills and scalable livelihood opportunities. To mark this event, Anudip launched its Skill Development Centre in Barasat in the North 24 Paraganas of West Bengal on July 28th, 2017.

This launch would not have been possible without the on-ground success of Citi-Anudip program during 2016–17 which offered underserved youth from Andhra Pradesh with 12-week employment linked training sessions leading to new economy job opportunities and financial security. The event was thus a joint celebration of Anudip’s continued growth across geographies in creation of digital livelihoods and Citi’s trust and constant support to Anudip to be able to prepare socially disadvantaged youth with digital skills and employment opportunities in the twenty-first century economy.

Business Standard, one of India’s leading business site features Anudip – Citi strategic partnership and also covers the inauguration event and narrates how Anudip will be imparting skills and training to underprivileged women and young people across three talent-rich states, helping them earn sustainable incomes.
