ANUDIP has received a grant from ServiceNow to conduct its unique online technology-driven program DIYA (Digital Inclusion of Young Aspirants) which will equip 400 underserved youth into the digital domain from Vijayawada in the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh and Howrah, Behala and North Bengal Tea Gardens in West Bengal for twelve months.
Under this programme, ANUDIP will upskill high school (class XII) pass/under-graduates/graduates from low-income family groups through advanced curriculum with Digital and Financial Literacy and soft skills leading the students to gain employment in the knowledge economy.
Of the 400 youth between 18-30 years, about 300 will be trained at DIYA centres with 50% placed with new-age job roles and 100 trafficked women and girls aged 14-25 years will be mentored at our Building Entrepreneurship to Stop Trafficking (BEST) centres in digital entrepreneurship employing nearly 50% of them securing jobs as cloud sourcing task contributors, individually or in cooperative groups.
With the new collaboration, ANUDIP is positive to be able to support the economically less privileged youth and socially disadvantaged women to earn digital livelihoods and scale sustainable growth in the talent-rich state of Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.
