    Disruptive technology is an innovation that significantly alters the way that consumers, industries, or businesses operate. A disruptive technology sweeps away the systems or habits it replaces because it has attributes that are recognizably superior. Now let us quickly see what the major technologies we are talking about here are

    Here we would talk about two technologies where Anudip Foundation and our sister concern iMerit technologies is making their mark in the global footprints. It is my great honor and pride to be associated with Anudip Foundation for social welfare as Faculty for more than two Years. It is a meaningful Journey of my life where Anudip has given me the platform to connect with thousands of men and women throughout west Bengal. When I started my job I was an IMPACT (iMerit Project aligned comprehension and technical Training)faculty. I was not sure what kind of profile it would be but I trusted Anudip and it proved to be righteous/fruitful for me. I was given the responsibility to train students on IT, Softskills and iMerit Projects especially on AI/ML (Only the basic Concept). Now, the last part was not clear to me. I didn’t know anything about it though I may have used it in my life or have seen it somewhere like all of us do. Now let me tell you how it will impact our lives in future. Let us see some of the benefits of using AI:

    1.  AI would have a low error rate compared to humans, if coded properly.
    2. They would have incredible precision, accuracy and speed.
    3. They won’t be affected by hostile environments, thus able to complete dangerous tasks, Explore in space, and endure problems that would injure or kill us.
    4. Replace humans in respective, tedious tasks and in many laborious places of work.
    5. Predict what a user will type, ask search and do. An example of this can be found in smartphone.
    6. Can detect fraud in card-based systems and possibly other systems in the future.
    7. Organize and manage records.
    8. Interact with humans for entertainment or a task as avatar or robots.
    9. Can assess people. This can be for medical purposes, such as health risks and emotional state. Can simulate medical procedures and give info on side effects. Robotic radiosurgery, and other types of surgery in the future, can achieve precision that humans can’t.
    10.They don’t need to sleep,rest,breaks or get entertained, as they don’t get bored or tired.

    I was introduced to the World of AI- Artificial Intelligence and ML-Machine Learning, CV-Computer Vision and NLP- Neuro lingusting proficiency. I did not have any clue about it. But then I started doing research about it and I had explored a different world all together and I am still exploring the same. This platform is so huge that an entire lifespan is not sufficient for learning it. One can only learn it by digging into deep horizons and breaking all the barriers that will come across in this journey. Though this journey started way back in 1956 when Scientist John McCarthy called it “artificial Intelligence” for the first time at a conference at Dartmouth college, in Hanover, New Hampshire.Five Scientists Alan Turing, John McCarthy, Allen Newell, Marvin Minsky and Herbert A. Simonknown as the “founding fathers”. They were scientist from variety of fields(mathematics, psychology, engineering,economics) began to discuss the possibility of creating artificial brain  Since then AI has developed rapidly thought out the world  but Specially in USA. Thanks to the New age thinkers. In recent times Successful entrepreneur turned businessman Elon Musk has took in to the next level by implementing Solar city, Hyper loop, SpaceX or Space Exprloration technologies corp. and Specially Driver less Cars under his company Tesla Motors.Where cars would be not fuel driven but Electrically Charged Indeed. Even Google and Uber has came up with Self driving vehicles. Those are in the trial faze right now. Although there are few accidents reported by this cars which is the point of debate about there intelligence but any great innovation needs sacrifices. So we have to be prepared for the consequences as well. Voice assistance like Siri, Alexa and Google assistant are becoming an integral part of our daily life.

    Here, thanks to our founders Dipak Basu and Radha Basu for making it possible for anybody to join this workforce where they developed this machinery for empowerment of men and women especially in rural and underprivileged and neglected parts of the country. Both of them started our strategic concern iMerit Technologies Pvt Ltd, where over 70% of our Alumni are working on AL-ML- Computer Vision projects on a daily basis. This gives them the global exposure which nobody even thought in their wildest dreams especially in rural areas. One of the iMerit center is in a rural area of Baruipur where they are working on AL/ML for Walmart /Amazon/Nike/Intel/Bloomberg, all major client’s across the Globe. Not only Baruipur but also in the outskirts of Metiabruz (female only workforce), rural areas of Ranchi, Jharkhand; Bhubaneswar, Odisha; Vizag, Andra Pradesh; Shillong, Meghalaya and now in Thimpu, Bhutan. Thanks to the vision of our great leaders.So, we can put them on ladder with all the greatest visionaries that world has ever seen. It not only generated livelihoods of our students but also put them in a place where the sky is the limit. Research states that AI is going to be the number one industry in the world in upcoming future. Self-driving cars, buses, trains and airplane are the future. Drones, Robots already making its mark in the technology field. Robots are being used in all kinds of industry now a days. Even it will be available in most of the houses as per prediction to make less human error. Chat bots are essential part of today’s technology. What our students do is very interesting and exciting, not only for them but also us.

    Say for instance our 3D4D model which is again a brain child of our Chairman and former CEO Dipak Basu. 3D4D Printing is an integral part of Artificial Intelligence Development and revolution. Today top countries in the world using this technology for the betterment of mankind. Be it in hospitals, Construction and Technology, it is slowly making its pathway. We should be really proud that our organization also has a wing for this. Here we mostly make enhancement prosthetics for the amputees.  While I am writing this journal the world is going through its most difficult phase thus we as an organization, are trying to leave our presence for the benefit of the needy. Our 3d 4D department has come up with 400 Face shields as of now for the front runners of the Covid 19 battle with the support of our funders like Capgemini and Cisco. So it is a big shout out to AI.

    We should be thankful to the visionaries like Elon musk whom I have mentioned earlier as well has paved the way for all of this. His Model of using reusable rockets under his Company SpaceX has been ground breaking in terms of Reusable Rocket making. Who is also a self-taught programmer and rocket scientist. By using all his fortune he implemented this model but it failed miserably. Following two more attempts are also failed Elon ended up losing millions dollar because of that. Also Tesla Motors going through in the verge of bankruptcy by then but the lust for desire and sheer will power to succeed made him successful in the 4thattempt when it was a success. Not only that NASA approached him and they both came to an agreement of 1.6 Billion Dollars to make Reusable rockets for the American Space Giants. Which is of Cargo transportation to the International Space Station. Even he has talked about multi-planetary life because of various threats to this planet like an asteroid or Super Volcano could destroy us, or an Engineered Virus, Inadvertent creation of a micro black hole, catastrophic global warming or some as-yet-unknown technology. Even Bill gates talked about a virus in one of his TEDex seminars, which could change the thinking and lifestyle of billions on this globe. Even guess what Amazon CEO Jeff Buzos came up with his newly formed company Blue origin which is still in the process of making rockets and they have only made and tested the buster. Many more AI startups are coming rapidly and I told you before that it’s the future. Thus we need this kind of Visionary in powerful positions of decision making be it in healthcare, defense, production or Education to serve the planet in a better and useful way.
