Anudip triples training and placement targets

MAST was developed and is sponsored by American India Foundation, while being taught and implemented through various partners NGOs across India. Anudip is proud to be one of AIF’s preferred service partners. MAST is geared toward our social enterprise mission:  to empower marginalized rural and semi-urban youth and women, mostly aged between 18 and 30 and from below poverty line backgrounds who seek to establish themselves in new livelihoods.

Anudip’s energetic trainers lead their centers autonomously, turning the classroom into a job and peer self-discovery laboratory for the students.  They customize MAST to fit the needs of each community.    They take ownership of the full process, from mobilization and counselling to training, placement, and job retention.

We impart 4 new tremendous sets of skills: basic typing and computer software skills; practical spoken English; job interviewing and workplace readiness skills; and “soft” skills such as body language and etiquette to communicate better in a professional setting. Graduates generally go one of three routes:  into a mainstream IT-enabled job; into one our MERIT (Mass Employment through Rural IT) project outsourcing centers; or they form a micro-business and receive funding and mentoring as part of our DREAM (Developing Rural Entrepreneurs through Adoption and Mentoring) program.

MAST would not succeed without the efforts of Anudip’s stellar trainers and job placement team.  Our close-knit, loyal team of close to 25 people who give their expertise, encouragement and personal attention to Anudip’s students — putting them onto the right path and with new confidence — is the real hidden treasure to the success of our education and livelihood efforts.
