On Feburary 14, 2012, Anudip Foundation received the prestigious NASSCOM Social Innovation Honors award for 2012 from Kapil Sibal, India's Union Minister for IT, HR and Telecom before a audience of 2000+ of the cream of the country's IT industry at the NASSCOM Leadership Forum in Mumbai.
The award is in recognition of the dedicated work in very difficult environments that Anudip faculty and project staff perform every day to empower impoverished rural youth for livelihoods in India's IT-based growth sector. In this picture, Anudip directors, Radha and Dipak Basu, accept the award from Minister Sibal (left) on behalf of the Anudip family while Rajendra Pawar, NASSCOM Chairman and founder of NIIT, tells the minister of Radha's early pioneering work for the Indian software industry.
NASSCOM Foundation's own announcement of the award contains an Anudp video that was aired at the event. It depicts our project services center at Metiabruz and faculty member Abhijit Sharma teaching a MAST class at a remote center in Howrah district of West Bengal.
